The Edgemoor at Arlington condo community is a much smaller building than its neighbors, the Adagio, the Lionsgate, or its upcoming competition like the Lauren, Quarry Springs or the Hampden. Condo fees at Edgemoor at Arlington fall in the upper range of condo fees in Bethesda, but the square footage for the units is very large. For example, the condo fee for a 2600 square foot 2 bedroom 2.5 bath unit with a den is approximately $1300 a month. Another unit that was over 1500 square feet had a condo fee just slightly more than $900. The building is pet friendly.

The Edgemoor at Arlington condos are a great option for empty nesters downsizing from the big suburban home or as a pied a terre for jetsetters! The community is not limited to downsized Montgomery County residents though because a family with young children would love the short walk to the Bethesda Elementary School. Since the building is smaller than the other luxury buildings in Bethesda there are no long walks down endless corridors! Please don’t miss my favorite breakfast places, The Original Pancake House and the Tasty Diner. The nearest grocery stores are the Safeway at Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda, the Safeway at Arlington Road, and the Giant on Arlington Road. There also is a Harris Teeter being built on Wisconsin Avenue near NIH.
There are lots of small stores in this part of Bethesda such as Blue Mercury and Urban Country. If you long for the big upscale stores, they are only a short distance away at Friendship Heights. Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and Saks Jandel are only a mile away.
