Bethesda just got better when the Current Boutique opened at 7220 Wisconsin Avenue, less than two blocks from the Bethesda Metro. Current Boutique opened in Bethesda early this fall—the first location in Maryland of a group of boutiques which first opened in Arlington in 2007 and since then has expanded to Alexandria, Logan Circle and now Bethesda.

When Current Boutique opened its doors on Wisconsin Avenue store owner Carmen Lopez says she knew Bethesda was a perfect fit for the fourth location of her locally popular consignment shop.  “We scoured a lot of local Bethesda closets before we opened,” Lopez said.

“I love the area,” Lopez said. “It’s bustling with young professionals—classic, modern, polished—it’s perfect for our demographic.”

The shops specialize in consignment, but offer a number of new, hand-picked items as well. The variety of selection from store to store keeps customers coming back and even shopping between locations, Lopez said.  Consignment is easy, Lopez promises, and no appointment is necessary. You can either stop in and have a store representative look at your items while you wait or you can drop them off with a list of everything included. Any items not accepted for consignment will be donated – How easy is that to clean out your closets!  Of course, when you are selling a home in Bethesda the first thing that you do is clean out your closets!

On Nov. 23 Current Boutique will join a number of local businesses in the Black Friday sale rush. All Current Boutique stores will have discounts of 20 percent throughout the day.

For more information on the store and consigning at the Bethesda location visit the Current Boutique website here.  Street parking is available on Bethesda Avenue and numerous parking garages are nearby. If you need additional information or directions,  give  them a call at 301-222-1114.

This is definitely a vendor to remember.  If  you are beginning to thing about looking for a Bethesda Home for Sale in the new year or perhaps buying a town home in Kenwood Forest
