It’s Cinco de Mayo and it is a big deal in the DC Metro area this year! If you are looking for a little taste of Mexico to celebrate Cinco de Mayo? We have lots of Tex-Mex places in DC, but we also have some great Mexican restaurants for you to check out. From saucy enchiladas to burritos stuffed with rice and beans, these Mexican eats are fantastic. Whatever you choose from this list, you will be delighted.
Gringos & Mariachis
The concept for Gringos & Mariachis was created by Roberto & Riccardo Pietrobono, owners of the very popular Olazzo restaurants in Bethesda and Silver Spring MD. This authentic Mexican restaurant has quickly became a neighborhood destination in Bethesda and Park Potomac.
Check out the tattoo art style murals on brick walls, antique-looking liquor cabinets, faux finish wood tables and roped chandeliers that give the restaurant an authentic feel.
The food menu includes a wide selection of Tacos, Tortas & Burritos, homemade Salsas and other Mexican classics. The drink menu features an assortment of Tequilas, Whiskies, Mezcals, Margaritas and Sangrias. My favorite on the menu is the chorizo stuffed dates!
