Bethesda, Maryland is a community that loves its pets – and it is a community that loves a good charitable event! When the two are combined into a charity event for pets, everyone is a winner! And we all go home with a smile on our faces!
Mutts Matter Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization and is run entirely by volunteers And donations. with combined rescue experience of over 15 years. They work in conjunction with shelters and other organizations, to help save animals on death row, the strays on the street, or ones in unsafe living conditions. Whenever possible they also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners. They adopt in the DC, VA, and MD areas, with a few exception out of the tri-state area depending on the dog and situation. Like all good volunteer organizations, they are driven by love, compassion, and hope.
Over 11 million dogs and cats are euthanized every year in the U.S. They are 
healthy, adoptable pets whose only fault is that they don’t have a place to call home. Mutts Matter rescue dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love, and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. All dogs are spayed or neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccines, and micro-chipped, before being placed in their new homes. MMR dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps Mutts Matter to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs, and to the needs of their future owners. The organization’s ultimate goal is to give hope and save the lives of dogs, while helping reduce the euthanasia rate.
Boone and Sons has kindly donated a $1250 diamond necklace (with a charm shaped like a dog bone!) to Mutts Matter for their Ruff Charity event! In addition, Boone and Sons will donate 20% of all sales on the 26th of August to Mutts Matter.
